A Place For The Future Past

JoAnne here.

Sometimes the only thing to do is wait. Go about doing what you do everyday, patiently waiting for progress before you can act.

Other times you can take a crowbar to the situation. Well, kinda.

I’ve decided to go ahead and sell my current home to my neighbors (who are builders and want it very much. Not because they are insane mobile home collectors, but they will clear the existing mobiles and build) who are willing to rent back to me until I do manage to secure a new place — whether it be the place near Yelm or another. This will enable me to get out from under the 10% mortgage I carry on it as well as get it sold without the 15-20K worth of repairs that would be necessary to list it and sell it. Yes, AS IS. I might even be able to do this without paying for an agent……

I had actually thought of this possibility some time ago, but hadn’t brought it up — too audacious, I thought. But yesterday as I was pulling weeds in my front rose bed, my neighbor lady came out to chat and ask how the new place was coming along. Then it was she who proposed the idea to me, which I’m liking more and more.

For a very little while, I will be entirely debt free. No mortgage, no loans, nothing owed at all.

(Pause)

Ok, enough of that! BRING ON THE NEW PLACE ALREADY!!
